Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept Insurance?

I do not participate directly with insurance providers, but when possible, my clients can use their out-of-network benefit. I provide a receipt, which you submit to your insurance company and they reimburse you directly. Many companies offer a good reimbursement rate for out-of-network therapists. Give your company a call and ask if they reimburse for out-of-network therapists and how much their reimbursement rate is. Additionally, many clients use their Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA) to pay for treatment.

What is your fee?

My fee is $150 for a 55 minute session. You can pay remotely via Paypal or send me a check. For those of you that need a more economically option, I supervise a student intern named Amy Borla (see more about Amy in the “About” section). The fee for these Amy sessions with Amy is $50.

Are you providing telemedicine? How safe and secure is the telemedicine source you use? Will my privacy be protected?

I have been providing telemedicine since mid-March 2020. I use a couple platforms, Zoom & Doxy.me. Both sites are committed to protecting your privacy. The quality of the telemedicine experience has far exceeded my expectations. It also provides more flexibility for my clients. Couples can call from different locations, and there are not as many baby-sitting concerns.

What do I do to start our telemedicine sessions?

It is an extremely user-friendly process. I will send a link to your email prior to our appointment. Simply click on that link at our appointment time. That will take you to my virtual “waiting room.” I will then invite you into the appointment. The connection works best when your device’s browser is Goodge Chrome or Firefox..
